Hey all my crafty friends!
The time had come again for me to make a sympathy card. One of my dear friends has just lost a cousin to Leukemia. He was in his twenties (way too young) and had battled bravely for years with this ugly disease. I pray that he is resting in peace, in the arms of an angel now that his fight is over.
I struggled with how to construct this card; what would be appropriate. I decided upon this Magnolia stamp and colored her in muted tones.
The papers are from the My Minds Eye collection called Lost and Found - Union Square. I cut out some hearts on my Cricut Expression and created a faux banner in the corner complete with some American Crafts twine. The shadow cuts were placed in the opposite corners. I also used a new Spellbinders die that I received from a good friend of mine. The cabbage roses are from the Spare Parts 3D Brown Paper Flower assortment. The sentiment stamp in the bottom corner is from Taylored Expressions and was inked in Memento Rich Cocoa.
Thanks for stopping by today and taking a peek. Tell those you love that you love and hug them tightly as often as possible.

Beach Day Beautiful
Hey folks!
Popping in today to share a card I created for my daughter's friend using this adorable yet sassy girl from The Greeting Farm! She is part of the Cheeky collection and her name is Cheeky Beach. You can find this doll in the TGF store by clicking here!
Their monthly challenge this month is to use Red, White and Blue. Mission accomplished!
I've colored up this doll face with Copics and added some Yellow Stickles to the flower center in her hair. The papers are a mix of the Summer Fresh collection from Simple Stories and Recollections cardstock. I've added some cheesecloth behind her for a little beachy texture. The seashell and anchor die cuts are from the Momenta 6 piece die cut collection featuring all sorts of beachy goodness!
Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Smile
Good morning and happy Saturday!! So super happy that the weekend is finally here. My daughter has her very first drum recital tomorrow and I cannot wait wait to hear her rock it out!
In the interim, I thought I'd post this little number that I created for the "S" challenge on Facebook for Some Odd Girl! You can add a creation using the letter S itself, or, you can use anything on your creation that begins with the letter "S". Super simple ;)
My sweet friend Gina knows how much I adore SOG and treated me to this Dare to Be Gwen stamp set I've been eying for for quite some time. How much fun was she to color in Copics? I also added some polka dots to her skirt using my Copic Multiliner. The yummy papers are from Websters Pages. I used a big cream rose from Recollections and added some black flowers from my stash around it. I also used two different punches to create the butterflies and then added some Lime Green Stickles on them and around Gwen for some sparkle. Inside the black flower centers are some silver pearls from Queen & Co. and then I added some mini black Recollections pearls for the butterflies. The silver chipboard tag was hiding in the deep recesses of my stash, so you can imagine how happy I was to actually use it, and I added some American Crafts twine to it to finish it off!
Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek! Hoping that you have a wonderful weekend!

Cheeky Business
Good morning everyone! How did Monday get here so fast?!
Stopping in quickly to share a card I made using a stamp I grabbed from The Greeting Farm called Cheeky Sweet. I absolutely adore her!! This week, The Greeting Farm is challenging us to use flowers for their Farm Fresh Friday challenge!
These yummy papers are from the Lost & Found - Union Square collection courtesy of My Mind's Eye. I think this has to be one of my favorite pads with lots of vintage-y prints in cream, black and red. Makes just about any creation pop! I added some Crystal Stickles from Tim Holtz for the frosting and Diamond Stickles on the black Recollections roses. The beautiful red rose is from Spare Parts. Last but not least, I made my own rolled rose without a die, using some paper scraps, and adhered a Queen & Co. pearl in the center.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek. Hope you have a good start to your week!

Thinking of you
TGIF! So so happy it is almost the weekend. This week has been crazy for sure!
For today's creation, I used this adorable Saturated Canary image that I've never inked up before. She was so much fun to color!
I used the current sketch at Papertake Weekly's challenge blog as inspiration. This sketch is definitely a keeper. The papers are from the "Oh Darling" collection courtesy of Crate Paper. They are filled with such yummy patterns and colors. The white flowers and the turquoise resin flower are from Recollections. I chipped off the white flower centers and adhered some Queen & Co. pearls, which I felt matched the papers better and added a little more pizazz. The rosebud is from Spare Parts. The sentiment is from the Many Mini Occasions stamp set by Taylored Expressions...one of my absolute favorite sentiment sets!
Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek! Hope each one of you has a stress-free and wonderful weekend!

Little Mermaid Anyone?
Happy Sunday all my crafty peeps!
I was so so happy to be able to whisk away into my craft area and cook up a few cards for my daughter's friend and her twin sister who just turned the big 16! Her friend is totally in love with The Little Mermaid and I used that as inspiration for her card using this adorable digi from The Greeting Farm!
I used some papers from The Violet Leaf stack courtesy of DCWV. I finally used up some hand-dyed crinkly ribbon I won in a RAK years ago and attached an adorable little metal crab charm from Spare Parts. I decided to go a little pearl happy with some Queen & Co. self-adhesive pearls that I've had in my stash for some time.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek! Hoping each one of you has an amazing week ahead!

Tiddly Inks Blog Hop
Hello, hello all my crafty friends!
Welcome to the Tiddly Inks Blog Hop! So glad you guys are hopping with us today and I am so grateful to Christy for allowing me to be a part of it.
My creation today is using the ever-adorable, new-in-the-store digi stamp called Wryn Smart Cookie!
Talk about sweet, right?? Wryn and a chocolate chip cookie together just make the perfect pair, in my humble opinion!
I've used some of my Snap Life papers from Simple Stories here. The sentiment came with one of the sheets in the paper pad --all I did was fussy cut it out and popped it up using some foam squares. The big yummy button is actually from the Paper Studio Potpourri Christmas button collection. I used a kraft doily from the Paper Studio Die Cuts pack. Then to finish it all off, I added some Queen and Co. Twinkle Goosebumps in the corner for just a hint of sparkle :)
Well that's it for this stop! Hopefully you are having some fun along the way and getting inspired by all this talent Christy lined up for you.
