I'm getting so excited because we're heading into my favorite season - FALL! The colors are amazing this time of year and I remember as a little girl traveling up to Vermont with my grandparents every year in the fall "to see the foliage".
I love this new image from TLC which is part of the new set called, It's Fall Time, which you can find in the TLC store by clicking here. You've got to see the other sentiments in the set - so cute and perfect for the fall season!!
I wanted to represent all the fall colors so I colored each leaf in the image in fall-inspired Copic colors (reds, greens and golden yellows). The image itself is colored in E00, E31 and E50 to give an aged look. The beige colored cardstock has a wood-grain embossing already imprinted on it (not sure if you can tell in the pic) and reminded me of a tree stump, and so I continued to cut some leaves on my Cricut Expression, embossed them in a Swiss Dot embossing folder and distressed them for a fall-crunchy leaf appearance! I used some foam squares to pop the image off the card with 3D Dots by EK Success.
Thanks for stopping by today and hope you're havin' a fabulous day!

Twinrific
TGIF!!! Hoping you all survived the week and are gearing up for a fabulous weekend!
Our friends just had a set of twins, and since the twin birth of my daughters almost 6 years ago, we've had many friends come home with a set ;) It's always so much fun to find out that your friends are part of this special club, as we like to call it, and I was super charged at the thought of making a twin card!!
Unfortunately, I found, like most everything out there, a lot of images/stamps cater to having just one baby. I've found a couple pertaining to twins, but nothing that particularly sparked any interest which is how I came up with the idea of merging two images together (which seems to be one of my favorite techniques at the mo).
The sock monkies are actually two separate images from Bugaboo Stamps called Sock Monkey Boy and Sock Monkey Girl Love. I merged both images in PrintArtist along with this fabulous sentiment from TLC. There are some other really cute twin-geared sentiments included in Paulette's set called Twins (this one included), which you can find in her store by clicking here. I'm really over the moon about it!
Enjoy the weekend!

CDAC Progressive Round #3
Happy Hump Day peeps!! We made it through to mid-week, and hopefully yours is going well!
Have you heard about the new Progressive Challenges over at the CDAC? If you have, hopefully you're joining us for Round #3!!
If you haven't, don't worry, you can still buy into the Progressive Challenge for a measly $1.00!!! Click here for all the info on how you can join in the fun and be given the chance to win some Copics!!
We were given some awesome images to play with this round and the image I used today for my creation, from Just Inklined, happens to be my favorite of the set. Anyone that knows me, knows I love sunflowers...and so, I couldn't resist inking it up right away!
I merged the image with a gorgeous sentiment from TLC that I've been waiting and wanting to use for the longest time. If you haven't heard about the DT Call going on over at TLC and would like to find out how to apply for Paulette's fabulous team, click here!
The edges of the image were distressed in Making Memories distress ink and the polka dot paper was distressed in Tim Holtz Vintage Photo. I cut out the scalloped corner pieces on my Cricut from an SVG file that I found on Heather M's blog for free, which you can find by clicking here. They were both embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dot folder to add some texture since I pretty much left the rest of the card empty of a lot of embellies. The dots on the butterflies wings were done with a white Souffle pen to give a little extra pop.
Thanks for stopping by and as always, for leaving me some of the best, encouraging comments!! I truly appreciate each and every one!!

This week, the OTT talented Guylou herself is challenging us to make a Thank You card with a twist. The card must have a star on it. The star can be an embellishment, a stamp or a digistamp or on the paper you use.
For today's card, I decided to go a little country on ya'll and use the Apple Basket and Sunflowers image from Guylou's store!!!
This image has been a long-time fave of mine and I was super excited to ink it up with my Copics. Since a star is our challenge twist, I wanted them to really pop on the card. I cut two sets of stars for each single star and put some foam squares in between the two stars to give added dimension!
We have a big prize this week. Guylou is offering a $10.00 gift certificate from her online store. You can enter only one project, but if you use a Guylou's Inimitability digistamp, your project will count for two entries. If you don't have one of her digistamps and your budget is tight; please check her online store where several freebies are available.
You will have until September 29th, 10:00 pm to play along with us and with a prize like that, what are you waiting for?! Can't wait to see what you cook up!Recipe:

Falling for Fall
There was this song on Noggin which is now Nick Jr., sung by Moose A. Moose called Falling For Fall (all you moms of young children should know what I'm talking about) For the first few weeks of fall every year, I go around the house singing it. I think my kids are secretly sick of hearing me sing it already!! If you'd like to hear the song, click here, but I must warn you - it does get addicting! You won't be able to get it out of your head!!
On to my creation - I just love PNG files!!!! You can merge as many images as you want to create a whole other scene or image. For my card today, I took the Autumn Harvest image from Faith at D2D for participating in the Progressive Challenge and merged it with this adorable little gal from Bugaboo Stamps.
I finished it all off with an awesome sentiment - from TLC, of course!!
Now isn't she precious on top of those punkins?!? I created the sky by cutting out a cloud on my Cricut and sponging some Colorbox Sky Blue Pigment Ink around the cloud bumps behind the image. I had just watched a youtube video from Suzanne Dean about this technique and thought I'd give it a try. You can find the video by clicking here. I might need a few more times to perfect it, lol!!! I used the Bugaboo Stamps Wacky Wednesday Challenge colors and the sketch from Deconstructing Jen as my inspiration for my card!
Thanks for stopping by today, and hoping you each have a wonderful day!

Bookmark It!
The second round of challenges are underway at the Progressive Challenge at the CDAC! This round we were encouraged to make a Back to School creation with one of the free images that were given to us for playing in the 1st round. If you make a creation for each of the 6 challenges, your name is entered to win some Copics!! Pretty sweet!!
For my entry, I used the adorable image from Tortagialla. I wanted to go with something a little different than I'm used to making - change it up a bit and try my hand at another bookmark.
I made the bookmark to fit a paperback perfectly because I'm always losing my bookmarks and end up using a scrap of cardstock or whatever I can find to hold my place!
Problem solved!!
If you've missed a challenge, have no fear!! You can buy into the Progressive Challenge for just a dollar!! And what today is one buck anymore?!
So stop on by the CDAC and show us what you got!!

Exciting News and New Color Challenge at the Outlawz!
I'm super excited this morning and doing the happy dance! I was asked to join the girls over at The Outlawz as a DT member for the Tuesday Color Challenges!!! This is such a huge surprise and honor - I am thrilled to be a part of the best team!!
Being that it's Tuesday, it's time for a new Color Challenge at The Outlawz, and our color combo this week was chosen by Jenn who unfortunately has had take a leave from her DT duties - her creativity will definitely missed:
But wait, don't forget our Spectacular September twist! Your creations must primarily use these colors and you need to mat at least two (2) layers. Not too hard, right?
Here is my take on the challenge using the Stamp of the Month image from Designed2Delight. I love this little guy and the little star hanging from his tail, which needed a hint of sparkle, imho!!
And don't forget a juicy prize for the winner - a $15 gift certificate to Phindy's Place! Woot, woot!!
You could also win some prizes from our monthly Sponsors for September which include Oozak, The Paper Temptress, Gilli and SCACD! Prizes totally worth playing for! So what are you waiting for ;) Come on by and join in the fun! :))

Back To School Challenge at Guylou's!
It seems only fitting since fall is in the air and the kids are heading back to school that Guylou's Inimitability is hosting a Back to School Challenge!!
For our challenge this fortnight, your projects must have the back to school theme going on as well as include an apple somewhere on your creation!!
Today my babies are going to head out on the school bus for the first time, become Kindergarteners, and make their way into the real world. And my big baby is entering 7th grade. I'm doing the happy-dance for gaining some of my freedom back, but I know the tears will start to swell as I kiss them goodbye and wave them off.
I made a simple little note card using the new image in the Guylou's Inimitability store called 1 + 1. I decided to go sentiment-less since I'm sure that I'll have many different reasons to send notes to at least one of the teachers at some point during the year ;) I also left the tab on the book blank but will write in the name of the teacher that gets the note card. I have lots left of this paper from last year, so I'm making box sets of these note cards as Christmas presents for their teachers. Cute, right?
The winner of our challenge will be awarded a $5 gift certificate to the GI store and grab a Guest Designer spot for an upcoming challenge ! Wow, pretty sweet deal!
And, that's not all!!! This weekend, Sept. 3rd thru Sept. 5th, Guylou's Inimitability is having a 50% off sale to grab some fabulous images at half the price- a steal!!
You have until September 15th to play along in our Back to School Challenge - we'd love to see you and your creations!
