Good morning peeps!
I had found this old photo of me and my sweet hubby the other day - it was from our very first New Year's Eve together when were first dating. Oh, we were so YOUNG in it, lol. When did we grow up? It is one of my favorites of the two of us together. Unfortunately, we don't have too many pics of us together and not enough, IMO.
I had scanned this pic into the computer but had left it in the scanner. Hubby then had to use the scanner for something else and apparently took the photo out and put it on top of my desk; front and center. Walking in to my crafty space, that was the first thing I saw, the photo of us on my desk...and I thought to myself that I'd really love to hang that up somewhere...and thats when the Mojo hit!
So instead of a card today, or even a mini album, I'm sharing with you a layout that I created in between laundry and homemade pizza with the girls.
I used the current scrapbook sketch from The Pink Elephant' scrapbook sketch challenge #46 as insipration, which you can find by clicking here. The papers are My Mind's Eye Pretty Please, which I just absolutely adore. The flowers are a mix of Petaloo and Recollections. I've stuck in some Tim Holtz tickets. I also cut out some hearts with my Cricut Expression for the top right of the photo and in between those gorgeous flowers.
The sentiment was a die cut that came with the papers. I stamped a sentiment from the MFT In My Garden Joline stamp set onto the die cut in Rich Cocoa Memento Ink.
Voila! Now all I have to do is frame it and hang it up :) Since I don't really take much time to scrapbook anymore, I'm really happy with how it came out!
Hoping that you have a great day and you have a fantastic start to your week. Thanks for stopping by and for taking a peek!

Free Hugs
Good morning and happy Saturday my crafty friends. We definitely started this weekend with a bang here in Jersey with yet another huge storm that started yesterday with heavy winds and rain; and ended up bringing in about six inches of snow by this morning. From what I heard, states north of us suffered way worse with more snow. I'm kinda happy about it, to be honest...gives me a good excuse to stay in my jammies and whip out my Copics while the kiddies go outside and make snowmen and snow angels.
Saturated Canary is having a color challenge and here are the beautiful colors you get to play with:
You only have to use three of these colors but you do have to use a Saturated Canary image. I love these soft, sequin tones. Gorge!
I colored this sweetie in Copics and used my Sharpie Poster Paint marker in white to accent her cheeks and eyes. The papers are from the Recollections The Neapolitan Collection and the die cuts I've had in my stash for quite some time. I added a Doodlebug Designs glittery pink button and a pink pearl to the flower centers. Instead of matting the image, I decided to softly ink around the edges with some Studio G chalk ink to match. Some Queen & Co. pink and white twine finishes it off.
I hope you are all staying safe and warm! Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!

You Have My Heart!
Good morning peeps!
There is a new monthly sketch challenge up at Some Odd Girl - and you know me with sketches :))) Just HAD to play along!!
Feast your eyes on the sketch which I luuuurve:
And here is my spin on it:
Isn't she adorbs??? One of my all time faves from SOG! Now the cool thing is the original digi had her holding a bird, howevah! in order to make this a v-day card, I just cut the bird out of her hands and replaced it with a puffy heart I had in my stash :) The papers are a mix of DCWV The Linen Closet *for the base*, some new Recollections papers called With Love, and some glittery red cardstock from Martha Stewart from two years ago!! I generated the sentiment in Print Artist, printed it out, and attached it with a flower ribbon brad from Spare Parts. I detached the ribbon portion and adhered it behind the doily instead.
Hoping you have a fabulous day! Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!

Make A Wish
If you had only one to make...what would it be?? I think we all have a few that we secretly wish we could make given the opportunity. I know what my top three would be, but it would be soooo hard to narrow it down to just one!! What about you?
I think this little cutie from Elisabeth Bell is sitting and wondering the same thing.
This precious little one is colored in Copics and Distress Markers from Tim Holtz. I've also used my Sharpie Poster Paint Marker in White to add some polka dots to her sash and her cute little cheeks. There are Yellow stickles on the flowers and butterfly; and some Baby Blue liquid pearls on some of the flowers centers as well. Her wings are covered in Diamond stickles. There is a tiny sentiment inked in Memento Rich Cocoa ink that came in a birthday stamp set that I've had for a long time and love to bits. I used my TH blending tool and some Colorbox Pigment Ink in sky blue to create a soft sky for her. The papers are a mix of Wassau cardstock and American Crafts. Some pearls for the butterfly center up top and a gorgeous mix of Prima and Recollections flowers finish it off.
Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by to take a peek!

Happy Birthday
And Happy Sunday! We managed to get about an inch of snow last night and some flurries are expected today. Nothing exciting, but enough to make you want to haul up in the craft area and get some crafting in :)
The Farm Fresh Friday challenge over at The Greeting Farm this week is to use to some ribbon and/or lace and the current sketch at Little Claire's was just what I needed to jumpstart my Mojo.
And here is my take on it:
I used one of the stamps from the Miss Anya Dressy collection and brought her to life with some Copics. The papers are a mix of DCWV The Linen Closet and MME's Pretty Please. What I love about the paper is that if you look closely, it mimics part of her dress :) The sheer polka dot ribbon and self-adhesive bling was in my stash. I used a birthday sentiment from MFT's All Occasion Sentiments stamp set inked in Memento's Rich Cocoa to finish it up.
Thanks for stopping by today and hoping you enjoy what's left of the weekend!
