Dottie happens to be one of my favorite characters from Bugaboo Stamps...I mean, don't get me wrong, I love Gus, Stella, Deacon, Ava, the brats...umm, ok, I admit it - I love em all!!!! But this image is fierce! I had so much fun coloring it up to match the most adorable paper and sentiment by TLC that I've been dying to use for quite some time. I cranked my 60's collection on my playlist and totally imagined Dottie having the time of her life at Woodstock.

ReplyDeletelol...o.k. I have to admit...it wasn't Dottie I was seeing in my mind at Woodstock...it was you, even though you're too young to have been there ;) But you sure did "tap into" that Groovy feeling of the day with this fantastic card! I have no idea where you got that fabulous dp, but it is so perfect for this card...talk about your flower power! And you colored that image perfectly...she looks like she just stepped out of the sixties. Had to take a closer look (cause of course I couldn't just read what supplies you used lol) and low and behold...that is stickles that I'm seeing. Gotta love the glitter!
ReplyDeleteOops...forgot to tell you how perfect that image is for that sentiment...which it is lol. Paulette sure comes out with some great one's doesn't she?

ReplyDeleteOh Sara, just wait until Min-Min sees this card. . .;) She was talking about making tie-dyed t-shirts with her husband, and I asked her why and she said that if she grew up in the 60s she'd have been a hippie, and I told her to let her freak flag fly high. . .;) You certainly did with your incredibly groovy project - I love it!!! Thanks so much for participating in Catch the Bug's Heavy Metal challenge with Bugaboo Stamps! :D MWAH!
