A couple posts back, I told everyone that I was chosen as October's Bugaboo's Biggest Fan and that I would be lucky enough to be joining the fabulous Bugaboo team for an upcoming challenge!!! Well today finally came (woot, woot!!) and I finally get to show you all what I cooked up for this week's challenge !!
The challenge this week over at the Bugaboo Stamps blog, Catch the Bug Challenge Blog, is a Trick or Treat ABC challenge which means your projects should have a Halloween theme to it, and be Anything But a Card (ABC).
Every Halloween, we have family come down and trick or treat with the kids! The kids love showing off their costumes to their grandparents and having pizza all together. After trick or treating, we always watch It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown - a tradition here in our house. So this year, I thought it would be cute to make some little treat holders for the kids while everyone watched their fave Halloween movie!!
For today's little project, I chose 4 of Bugaboo's Halloween images (Hween Brat Witch, Hween Brat Pumpkin, Hween Brat Kitty and Bobblehead Hween Frank), all of which are just too darn adorable!! And here are some pics of each one individually:
To start my project, I found these treat box templates on the internet, and then printed them, scored them and cut.
After assembling the boxes with a little Glossy Accents, I wrote Trick or Treat in the blank circle at the top of the boxes. You could write anything here that you want - i.e. names, Boo, Spooky, etc.
The circular panels behind the images were embossed with some Cuttlebug folders and then distressed, so the design would show.
I filled the baggies with some Autumn Mix (yummy candy corn and candy punkins) and tied with some wired gingham ribbon from Pure Color and voila: some Halloween treat boxes for the kiddies (and of course I will have to make some more for the big kiddies, hehe)!!!
Hopefully this has inspired you to get your spook on and play along with the Bugaboo Halloween ABC Challenge! Hope to see you all there!
