Sweet Song of Christmas!

Hello friends!   Did you have a fantastic weekend?  I know a lot of my friends and family were recovering from Thanksgiving and running to the stores to cash in on those mad Black Friday deals.

We finally had our Thanksgiving yesterday (yay!) since we had to cancel the festivities on Thursday with my little one being so sick this week.  Poor little sweetie is just now starting to perk up!  It was wonderful to have my family around the table, laughing and singing, and mainly eating themselves into a stupor.  :)

Since I didn't have all that holiday prep last week from postponing the holiday, I made this card with one of my favorite sets from Clear Dollar Stamps called Christmas Cuties!!  The images and sentiments are just too darn cute and what's even better is there are two different versions in the store - a pre-colored set for when you are down on time and a black and white set for when you feeling like coloring the day away!

Hope you all have a fabulous start to your week and thanks for stopping by :)

Quick Post

Hey everyone!!  Did all my American friends have a wonderful Thanksgiving?  Hoping you were blessed in many ways yesterday!!

My apologies in advance for this having to be a short post today - one of our twins has been horribly sick for the past 24 hours with fevers spiking up to 104.

I whipped up a quick Christmas card using one of the images from the TLC Christmas Club based on the sketch last week from Deconstructing Jen.  I'm a huge snowman and angel fan and I just love this guy to bits because he's a bit of both!

Oh and mark your calendars!! This Sunday, the awesome DT from TLC will be having a Winter Wonderland Blog Hop with lots of inspiration and freebies along the way!!

Clear Dollar Stamps Blog Hop

Welcome to the monthly Clear Dollar Stamps Blog Hop!!  Our theme for this month's blog hop is "Thankful", and it really couldn't be any more fitting with Thanksgiving right around the corner :)

If you've come here from Cassie's blog, then you're headed in the right direction!  If you haven't, then you want to start at the beginning of our hop which is over at Lori's blog.

For my hop creation today, I decided to use this adorable image and sentiment from the Charlie Harvest Digital Set that is available in the Clear Dollar Stamps store.

He's just so happy sitting on his little pile of goodies that it reminds me of the joy that comes from expressing gratitude even for the littlest things.  The great thing about Charlie is that not only does he come in a digital set, but he comes in a clear, acrylic stamp set as well!

Don't forget to sprinkle some sugar on our blogs along the hop because one lucky winner will be chosen from all the comments left - the more comments you leave, the more chances you have to win a $25 gift certificate from Clear Dollar Stamps for some digital images!  The winner will be announced on November 23rd!

Christmas with a Wreath Twist Challenge at Guylou's!

Happy Friday friends!!  It's challenge time over at Guylou's Inimitability and my amazing friend and teamie Kim has challenged us to start on those Christmas cards (if you haven't already!) but with one little twist.  Your creation must also include a wreath on it somewhere!  Easy peasy and so much fun!!

I decided to use one of the new Christmas images in the GI store called Roger and Leah -Christmas1.  It's just so perfect for our challenge this fortnight and I absolutely LOVE it:

I've been in quite the sparkly mood lately, so I inked up a snowflake I cut on my Cricut Expression in Colorbox Sky Blue Pigment Ink, embossed it, and then added some Diamond Stickles around the edges.  Leah's scarf, mittens, and hat were also glammed up with a little Diamond Stickles, too :)  And if that wasn't enough sparkle, lol, there is some XMas Red Stickles on the holly berries on the wreath but I guess that was a little too much sparkle for my cam to handle! ;)

Now on to the prizes!!  One lucky winner of our challenge will win a $10 gift certificate to Guylou's Inimitability online store AND a guest design spot in an upcoming challenge in the new year!

You have until 10:00 p.m. est on December 1st to play along!!  So come on by and show us those gorgeous Christmas-y wreath creations!!

Let It Snow

Brrrr...its frigid outside!  I seriously cannot believe how cold it is today being as though it's been in the 60's most of the week, but nonetheless, it IS that cold!  So as I nursed this horrid sinus infection and stayed inside where it's nice and warm, I whipped up another card for Christmas.

Love, love, love this little girl from Karen's Doodles - isn't she just precious?!  I remember being a little girl and waiting for the snow to fall just so I could catch some snowflakes on my tongue!  One of the best parts of it snowing don't you know!  And now, being a mother of three girls, I love seeing them outside sticking out their tongue just waiting for that first snowflake to fall in hopes of catching one.  The circular sentiment is from TLC and I thought it fit the image and the papers perfectly.  I inked it in some blue/green Chalk Ink from Studio G and added some Diamond Stickles.  The little glittery cable I found on the floor in my house - probably something that was on one of my daughter's Barbie boxes.  As soon as I scooped it up, I confiscated it and luckily it worked perfectly for this card :)

Wherever you are, I hope that you are staying safe and warm :)  Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by! :)

Happy Tuesday everyone!!  Hope this finds you doing well in your neck of the woods.  Unfortunately, my family is on Round #2 of getting sick and, although Mommy has done a pretty good job at fighting all the bad germs that have been flying around my house, I have finally succumbed to a stomach bug! Yuck and Ick!

Just gorgeous, right?!  Now don't forget, we have a November Novelty twist for your creations - we are challenging you to use either houndstooth or gingham paper.

Now I just want to start by saying that I tried (really tried, lol) to use houndstooth since I'm kinda like a gingham addict, lol, but try as I might, and when all was said and done, the gingham won ;)

Thankful with a Turkey Twist Challenge at Guylou's!

“He is a wise man who does not grieve for the things which he has not, but rejoices for those which he has.” — Epictetus

With the Thanksgiving holiday quickly approaching, we all start to think of all those things great and small that we are thankful for.  I know for myself, I have much to be grateful for - a wonderful family that I adore, friends that support me and make me laugh, a warm house and a soft pillow to lay my head on at night, food on the table, clothes on my back....

For our new challenge at Guylou's Inimitability, we thought it would be great to see those Thank You or Thanksgiving themed projects.  The twist for our challenge is to include a turkey somewhere on your project!

I used the Leah cooks a turkey image from the GI store and paired it with this fitting sentiment from TLC.  I just love the image because it reminds me of Thanksgiving morning - prepping the Turkey at the crack of dawn with the sounds of the Thanksgiving Day Parade on tv in the background.  A lot of prepping but the look on everyone's face as the turkey hits the table is priceless!

One lucky winner of our challenge will be awarded a $10 gift certificate to the GI store and be invited to join us in an upcoming challenge as a Guest Designer!  Wow, now that's some prize!

You have until November 17th to play along - and remember, you can play along with any image on your creation, but if you use a Guylou's Inimitability digistamp, your entry will count twice!!!! But money is tight you say?  Well have no fear, you can visit Guylou's online store and grab a freebie to play along with!

Can't wait to see all your Thankful with a Turkey Twist creations!

Clean and Simple Christmas!

Don't you wish all of them could be that way?!  From Thanksgiving weekend to Christmas it's usually sheer craziness here with three girls all anticipating the arrival of Santa, lol.  So, in an effort to make things easier on myself this year, I figured I would start my cards early and figure out something that doesn't require hours in my craft corner!!

The TLC Christmas Club is helping me reach my goal this year - every day several delicious Christmas papers, images, and sentiments are sent to my inbox and give me inspiration to lay down a card or two.  It's been wonderful, lemme tell you!!!  And if you're getting in the Spirit of the holidays like I am and need a jump start on your holiday Mojo, click here to find out how you can sign up for the remainder of club for a discount!

I used one of the pre-colored stocking images from the club and printed it out three times on my cardstock.  I hung them up with care and a bit of pink twine I won in some blog candy.  The sentiment is from the Christmas Club as well - and I just love it because that happens to be my favorite Christmas song.  :)

Hoping you have a warm, wonderful day :)
