Color Challenge Time at The Outlawz!

Well it is our last Color Challenge for the month of January over at The Outlawz!  Can you believe it's almost February already??  It doesn't even seem possible that the winter is almost over.  I remember last year with all the horrible snow storms we had that winter just seemed to drag on and on!!

This week, my teamie and friend, Roxann, has chosen a scrumptious color palette for you all to play along with!  Let's hear it for Yellow, Light Grey and Dark Grey!!

Our Jammin' January Twist is for you to add Fabric to your projects!  Your imagination could really go wild with this one!

For my creation today, I was inspired by one of my favorite Scriptures found in Isaiah that is included in the Scriptures of Hope Digital Image  set from Clear Dollar Stamps.  The set has some of the most inspirational Scriptures of hope and of faith that can be used for those cards when you need to send someone a little encouragement!

Our fabulous Sponsor this month is Kenny K and one lucky winner will receive a gift certificate to their online store to pick out four (4) digital images of their choice!!

So come on over to The Outlawz and show us your fabulous creations!  We'd love to see you there!

Butterflies

Good Morning friends!  Thank you for all the well wishes for my daughter.  She is back in action and back to school :)

As I sat down to get crafty while my kids were in school, I was inspired by the current challenge over at Digi Darla's which is "Happiness Is".  Darla is offering a freebie for you to play along with and it is oh so cute!  To find out the challenge rules and grab your freebie, click here.

I was so happy because I actually used my cropadile for something other than punching holes, lol.  I had thrown out the instruction book when I first bought it years ago, and thanks to some You Tube vids, I was able to set some eyelets in the corners (although I'm gonna need some more practice for sure!)  The adorable sentiment I used is from TLC's new set, Play On Words, which you can find in the TLC store by clicking here!   Both the image and sentiment together reminds me of the happiness and butterflies that only new love can bring.

Hoping you each have a fabulous day :)

Thank You CDS Style

Happy Monday my dear friends!!

My little one is home sick and battling a horrific stomach flu - we've been up all night together and I'm whisking away to write up this short but sweet post so forgive me if I'm not as chatty as I normally am.

A neighbor asked me if I would make her some Thank You cards as she just came home from the hospital, and wanted to thank some of her family and friends for all that they did while she was in.   Immediately I thought of this beautiful image and sentiment from Clear Dollar Stamps, and of course, my neighbor loved it!

Both the image and sentiment are from the Jargon Mix Outlines digital set which you can find in the CDS store by clicking here.  This little beauty was colored with my trusty Copics, but you can also find the same set, pre-colored, that includes not only the images and sentiments but some cute digital papers, too!  This adorable digital paper that  I used on my creation came from that pre-colored set, which you can find by clicking here.

It's time to go back to nursing my little one.  I hope you all have a wonderful day ahead of you!!

Be Mine

Winter has finally showed up!!  It snowed here in Jersey overnight and as I write this my girls are getting suited up; ready to head out into the great white stuff!  The hot chocolate will be made soon and uh oh - Mommy forgot the marshmallows!  But I remember as a kid lovin' those snow days where nothing else mattered but those snow angels and attempting a snowman - coming in and having hot Campbell's soup and some hot chocolate to warm up and watch movies and watch it all fall.  Thats the nice thing about children:  getting to relive the good memories.

I created this card today using this uber precious image called Mailed My Heart from Whimsie Doodles and paired her with a little goodie from the TLC February Club.  My hubby surprised me with some new papers from DCWV which I absolutely LOVE and I thought that they were perfect for her!!

Well it's off to make that hot chocolate!!  Hoping you are staying warm and having a wonderful weekend!

New Release Day at CDS!

***This is my 2nd post of the day!  If you are looking for the current Color Challenge at The Outlawz, click here to take you to my post***

Morning crafty friends!

Today is New Release Day over at Clear Dollar Stamps and boy am I excited to show you wants new in the store!!

We were lucky to play with two sets out of the new releases this time around!  My first creation uses the We Go Together set which has some pretty adorable sentiments, pre-colored digi images and of course, some black and white outlined images for you to color with whatever medium you love most:

I decided to use the pre-colored image and sentiment from the set - and see those cute little stacked hearts?  Yup, they're pre-colored too and all I did was print, cut and arrange them with some square foam for some "pop"!  Love it!!

On to the next set:  Loving Critters Color!  Wait til you see what a cutie patootie image this is!  I had so much fun making this one for my daughter for Valentine's Day..she's such a huge penguin fan!

Do you not love how that paper matches the hearts perfectly?  Well guess what?  The paper is included in this set as well!  The Loving Critters Color set is so adorable - has 5 pre-colored images, some papers and perfectly matched sentiments!  Makes your card making a snap.  If you'd rather color up the images, there's an outlined set in the store as well, which you can find by clicking here.

Hope you all have a fabulous day ahead of you and thank you for stopping by and leaving me a sweet word or two :)

TLC Calendar Girl Blog Hop!!!!

Welcome to the TLC Calendar Girl Blog Hop !  If you've just stumbled here, and haven't started at the beginning which is over at TLC, then you will want to click here to take you there to start your journey!  It is there you will find the list of blog stops and pick up some freebies from each DT member along the way.

I am super excited today to show you what you can do with all the calendar months that you pick up along our hop today!!  You will want to stick it out thru all my pics because somewhere in between all the pictures will be the month's March and May freebie for you to grab!

When I heard that our theme for this hop was "Calendar Girls", I was inspired to make a Vintage 2012 Mini Calendar using word art and all the calendar months from TLC!  Here is the front view of the calendar bound together with various ribbon and a metal beaded ring that I recycled from my daughter's Chapstick case:

Here is the inside flap containing a tag that has one of Paulette's sentiments stamped on it!  The front of the pocket I created also has one of Paulette's sentiments.  These both happen to be my favorite TLC sentiments!

Each tag is double sided by month, starting with January!

February
March (below the pic is your freebie!! Click on it, and right click to save yours!)

                                                                                 April

May (yours is below the photo to grab!)

                                                                                June

                                                                            July

                                                                             August

                                                                           September
                                                                               October

                                                                         November

                                                                        December
This is the inside of the back cover page - I've created another pocket and tiny tag with another favorite TLC sentiment:

And here it is all bound together again!

I hope I've inspired you to give a mini calendar a try with all those goodies that Paulette is generously giving you today during our hop!

Your next stop along our hop is my teamie Jennifer S.!  Wait til you see what she has in store for you today!!

Love Is In The Air

Now that Christmas and New Year's is over, I figured it was time to start working on those Valentine's Day cards :).

The fabulous image was a freebie on the TLC blog and the sentiment was a goodie from the  TLC February Club.  I merged the two together to create something for my wonderful hubby.  Usually I wait until the very last minute to make his v-day card, but when I saw this image, it immediately spoke to me that this one the one for his.  What really made me happy was that I finally let go of my favorite rose trim that I've had for months and some very old papers that I've been hoarding - both of which looked gorgeous with the image!

Don't forget, TLC is having a blog hop on January 14th to celebrate our new DT!  So mark your calendars and hop along with us - there will be some fabulous freebies for you to grab along the way and some creations from the DT that are sure to inspire!!

A Little Vintage

Happy Friday everyone!!  Is everyone still coming down from all the holiday excitement?  I know I'm kinda dragging this week and still trying to get all those last minute Christmas decos away.  Ok, and the tree, hehehe.

I was given the new set over at the TLC to play with called Vintage Sheets/Backgrounds and had so much dabbling in some vintage which I haven't done in a little while.

I paired the alphabet sheet with one of the fabulous freebies that Paulette graciously gave us during the last blog hop!  Talking about blog hops, have you marked your calendars for January 14th 8:30 a.m PST yet??
To celebrate our new DT, Paulette has put together an amazing blog hop to introduce you to our new (and some old) faces as well as give away 12 freebies during the hop!!  So don't forget to stop on by and hop with us :)

Exciting News and Upcoming Blog Hop!

Hey all my crafty friends!!

I am thrilled to announce that I'll be returning as a DT member for  TLC !! *Insert Happy Dance*  Seriously, I am so blessed and over the moon to be given the opportunity  to be working again with Paulette and her images/word art.

TLC also has a couple of new faces joining us too:  Carla and Audrey!!    Congratulations on making the team, ladies!!  If you have a moment or two, why not stop over to their blogs to wish them well?

To celebrate the happy occasion, TLC will be having another one of it's fabulous hops filled to the brim with inspiration from Paulette's "calendar girls" and will also be offering some gorgeous freebies along the way!!

So mark your "calendars" for January 14th at 8:30 a.m. PST - you won't want to miss this!!

Happy Birthday :)

Well for someone out there, it might very well be their birthday :)

I have been getting little heads-ups here and there from my girls that they are going to be invited to so and so's party, and that one's party...and oh yeah Mom, I'm going to her party, too ;)

So I figured I would take a break from all the wintery cards and start to build up my stash on those birthday cards that I always need last minute!!

I used the cutie patootie digital set from Clear Dollar Stamps called Yummy Cupcakes, which you can find in their store by clicking here.  The set is just adorable - it comes with some pre-colored cupcakes, cupcake outlines, matching digi papers, as well as some cutie sentiments!  Here I went with one of the pre-colored cupcakes and matched it up with my favorite paper in the set.  Who doesn't luuuuurve sprinkles?!  And if you love a good sale like I do, you definitely wanna head on over to Clear Dollar Stamps because they are having a site-wide sale for 25% off your entire purchase from now until January 6th :))  Sprinkles and a sale?  I'm in heaven :)

Hope you all have a fabulous Wednesday!!

Tuesday Color Challenge at The Outlawz!!

Happy New Year everyone!!

It is time for another Color Challenge over at The Outlawz and this time it was Roxann's turn to host and choose the color combo.  And what fab colors she chose for us this week!!  Let's hear it for Coral, Kraft Brown and White!

Our Jammin' January twist for this challenge is to add some beads to your project!!

My daughter and I got some new books for Christmas this year.  Now I had started this tradition with her quite awhile back that when you get a new book, you get a new bookmark.....but since funds are tight this time of year, I decided I would make some of my own.

What I did here was cut this fabulous flower out from a sheet of dp included in the K&Company Happy Trails paper pad.  I used some distress ink from Tim Holtz for the sentiment stamp which is part of the Joline In My Garden set from MFT,  and then distressed the entire bookmark.  I picked up some beads from Walmart and strung them on some hemp twine that I've had in my stash.  Voila!  Instant bookmark!!

Our Sponsor this month is none other than the wicked cool Kenny K!  The winner of our challenge will win 4 digital images from their store!!!  What a fab prize!!

We'd love to see you over at The Outlawz with all your coral, krafty creations.  So stop on by and join in the fun!
